About the art

01

Wind of Change is a sculptural work that reflects the ongoing human pursuit of peace and harmony within a constantly changing modern world. Composed of geometric steel forms, the piece balances strength and movement, suggesting tension between stability and transformation. Through its restrained industrial materiality, the work evokes both resilience and adaptation, inviting reflection on change as a continuous and shaping force. Jim "Jimmie" Dodson Jr. is an award-winning American artist known for creating sculptural works that merge geometric and organic forms using found objects and recycled materials. Raised on a farm in Oklahoma, his practice is deeply influenced by rural life and the idea of "old world meets new world." Trained in welding and metal casting, Dodson works with a range of materials including steel, bronze, copper, and titanium, often combining them with stone and glass to develop a distinctive contemporary sculptural language.
