About the art

01

British artist Petroc Sesti believes that creating art should satisfy both the mind and body of the artist. In his work Vanishing Point, Sesti aims to convey the essence of the artwork through elements like translucency, movement, chaos, and the structured order found in water. His intention is to provoke viewers to question the underlying motivation driving the creation of this artwork. Sesti explains that Vanishing Point departs from static sculptures, embracing a dynamic sense of movement inspired by natural phenomena. He emphasizes that everything in nature is in perpetual motion, from the atmosphere and oceans to cosmological forces. His inspiration draws from astrophysics and the concept of rotating black holes, which symbolize the relentless and engulfing aspects of existence. Sesti seeks to explore a metaphysical understanding of the boundaries of existence, aiming to transcend ordinary human experiences through his art.
