About the art
01In Serpent Magicien III (1/8), Marie Passa focuses on movement and flow through a continuous, curved line that extends across the surface. The form bends and shifts gently, creating a sense of motion that feels calm and controlled. The work sits between drawing and sculptural gesture, using repetition and variation to guide the eye. Reduced to an abstract shape, the composition encourages viewers to focus on line, rhythm, and the physical presence of the form. Marie Passa is a French photographer based in Paris whose practice is influenced by her background in architecture. She studied at the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Versailles and worked internationally with Wilmotte & Associés before turning to photography. Her work often explores structure, space, and form through images that move between representation and abstraction. Passa’s photographs have been shown internationally and featured at platforms including Aipad New York, Art Basel, and Paris Photo.
