Language is stripped of readability and transformed into pure gesture, creating a visual rhythm that is felt rather than read. The composition unfolds gradually, evoking a meditative journey where movement, stillness, and time are embedded within the act of mark-making. Working exclusively in black and white, the artist allows the lines themselves to carry meaning, turning writing into a quiet, contemplative field. Golnaz Fathi is an Iranian artist whose practice is rooted in Persian calligraphy and abstract mark-making.
