About the art
01In Serpent Magicien IV (1/8), Marie Passa continues her focus on movement and flow through a curved, continuous line that shifts gently across the surface. The form bends and turns with a steady rhythm, creating a sense of motion without urgency. Subtle changes in direction and thickness guide the eye, keeping attention on line, balance, and structure. The work sits between drawing and sculptural form, encouraging close viewing and an awareness of how simple shapes can suggest movement in space. Marie Passa is a French photographer based in Paris whose practice is influenced by her training in architecture. She studied at the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Versailles and worked internationally with Wilmotte & Associés before turning to photography. Her work explores structure, space, and form through images that move between representation and abstraction. Passa’s photographs have been shown internationally and featured at platforms including Aipad New York, Art Basel, and Paris Photo.
