About the offering
01Qatar National Library offers inclusive, real-world volunteering opportunities for students with disabilities aged 14 to 18, including those on the autism spectrum from Renad Academy and Awsaj Academy. Designed to build confidence and practical skills, the program begins with two weeks of hands-on training and close guidance from QNL staff, providing personalized support through skill-building activities, mentorship, and one-on-one task guidance.
Volunteer roles are tailored to students’ interests and abilities to ensure meaningful participation. After the initial training period, students gradually transition to working more independently for the remainder of the two-month program, while continuing to receive supervision from their teachers to support ongoing progress.
Typically offered at the start of each calendar year, the program provides valuable real-world exposure in a supportive environment, empowering students to develop personal and professional skills while building confidence in their abilities.
