About the offering
01EmpowerAbility is QCDC’s inclusive career development program for young people with disabilities and learning difficulties. Designed for participants aged 17 to 30, the program helps participants build practical skills, confidence, and independence through structured, real-world experiences designed to prepare them for education, work, and community participation.
Delivered through tailored activities in supportive environments, the program focuses on ability, not limitation, and gives participants the opportunity to strengthen communication, teamwork, responsibility, and self-belief.
Through its volunteering and entrepreneurship tracks, EmpowerAbility combines hands-on training with meaningful community engagement and skill-building opportunities. Participants take part in practical experiences that help them apply what they learn, explore their potential, and see themselves more clearly as capable contributors in professional and public settings.
Registration is managed directly by QCDC in coordination with schools and partner organizations that nominate eligible participants, helping ensure the program reaches those who can benefit most.
