Dr. Said Mansour
Director of Core Labs at Qatar Environment and Research Institute (QEERI)
Dr. Said A. Mansour is the director of Core Labs at Qatar Environment and Research Institute (QEERI), under Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). His research interests include materials characterization, microscopy and microanalysis, thin film deposition, failure analysis, semiconductors, oxide composites for EM attenuation, x-ray analysis, surface analysis, RBS, thermal analysis.
From 2012 to 2016, Dr. Mansour was the coordinator for planning and equipping HBKU’s Research Center. Prior to joining QF, he founded and worked as Manager of JDS Uniphase’s Materials Characterization Laboratory. Before joining JDSU, he taught at the School of Materials Engineering at Purdue University (1990-2000). He also was the director of the Turner Laboratory for Electro-ceramics and later became the director of Purdue’s MSE Microstructural Analysis Facilities.
Dr. Mansour obtained his PhD in materials engineering from the School of Materials Engineering at Purdue University, USA. He has a Master of Science in applied physics from Kuwait University.
