Dr. Anis Ben Brik is an associate professor and founding director of the Program for Social Policy Evaluation and Research (PROSPER) at the College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). Dr. Ben Brik is a frequent speaker on family issues, child welfare, and social protection, and an advocate of family policy and child rights.

Dr. Ben Brik also serves as the MENA region Organizing Partner of the United Nations NGO Major Group. He has published empirical research in a wide range of international peer-reviewed journals, including Children and Youth Services Review, Early Child Development and Care, Child Indicators Research, and Decision Sciences. Dr. Ben Brik is the lead principal investigator of the UN-sponsored international research project “The Impact of the Pandemic on Family Life Across Cultures”, a research study that has been conducted in 72 countries across Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia, North America, and the MENA regions.

Dr. Ben Brik holds a PhD from University College London.
