Lina Abu Akleh, the niece of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh – who was killed in May 2022 while reporting on an Israeli raid on Palestine - is Palestinian, and was born and raised in Jerusalem. She holds a Bachelors degree in Political and Media studies and a Master’s in International Studies and Human Rights. Since May 2022, Lina has been advocating for justice and accountability for her aunt’s killing.
