About the offering
01Sidra Medicine’s Developmental Pediatrics service provides comprehensive assessment and support for children with neurodevelopmental conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disorders (such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), speech and language delays, and other related conditions.
A multidisciplinary team of developmental pediatricians, clinical psychologists, speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses adopts a holistic approach that addresses each child’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs. Services include developmental and behavioral evaluations, cognitive and psychoeducational testing, autism-specific assessments such as ADOS-2 (based on presentation and clinical need), communication and functional assessments, and family-centered discussions with individualized recommendations.
Following the assessment, families receive detailed feedback and comprehensive reports, along with personalized treatment recommendations. Support may include referrals to speech, occupational, and psychological or behavioral therapy, assistance with accessing community resources, educational planning guidance, and options for ongoing follow-up and reassessment.
To request a referral, families may email developmentalpeds@sidra.org with a description of their concerns, a copy of the child’s QID, and contact numbers, or call the Sidra Appointment Center at +974 4003 3333. This is a self-funded service, and fees are communicated by the scheduling team based on the type and scope of assessment required.
