Dr. Hassan Abdulla Al-Rumaihi
Dr. Hassan Al-Rumaihi is a researcher in Islamic Studies and a lecturer at the College of Islamic Studies at Qatar University. His research interests focus on the intersections between Islamic studies and modernity, including orientalism and contemporary Western thought. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Shari’a and Islamic Studies from Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, and a master’s degree in Contemporary Fiqh from the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. He also earned a master’s degree in Islamic Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, where he is currently completing the final year of his PhD dissertation on the transformations of Islamic endowments (waqf) in the 9th century.
