Dr. Ozcan Ozturk is an assistant professor at the College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). His research interests include international trade, sustainable economic development, food security, microfinance, and energy and environmental economics.

Dr. Ozturk frequently teaches microeconomics, macroeconomics, economics for public policy, econometrics, statistics for social sciences, and research methods courses. He has worked in various international, multidisciplinary projects in Europe, North America, Turkey, and Qatar.

Dr. Ozturk received his PhD in applied economics with a minor in statistics from Auburn University after receiving his MA from Western Michigan University in economics. He also holds an LLM degree (law and economics) from Michigan State University.
