Dr. Mohammed Ghaly is a professor of Islam and Biomedical Ethics at the Research Center for Islamic Legislation & Ethics (CILE) at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). The intersection of Islamic ethics and biomedical sciences is Dr. Ghaly’s main specialization.
Since 2011, Dr. Ghaly has been a faculty member at the Erasmus Mundus Program, the European Master of Bioethics jointly organized by several European universities.
Dr. Ghaly serves on the editorial board of several academic journals as well as is the research consultant of numerous research projects. He was invited to lecture on Islamic bioethics at many universities worldwide including Imperial College London, Oxford University, University of Oslo, University of Chicago and Georgetown University.
