Dr. Sharifa Noaman Al Emadi is currently the executive director of Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) a global policy and advocacy institute working to advance knowledge on Arab families and promote evidence-based polices. She is a certified clinical psychologist and an expert in family counseling and in treating behavioral disorders, including drug addiction.

Before joining DIFI, Dr. Al Emadi was executive director of international and community relations at Naufar Wellness, Recovery and Treatment Centre, where she also worked as a family and clinical therapist. Prior to that, she was the executive director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre from 2014 to 2017, and the director of Therapy and Rehabilitation at Al Aween Social Rehabilitation Centre.

Dr. Al Emadi is a member of various relevant committees, including the National Committee for Narcotics Control in Qatar, the National Committee for Women, Children, the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities.

Dr. Al Emadi holds a Ph.D. in psychology and counselling from Manchester Metropolitan University.
