Aisha Madani is a postdoctoral research associate in microbiology and immunology at Weill Cornell Medicine- Qatar (WCM-Q). Her research focuses on the identification of cellular mechanisms that promote inflammation and tissue dysfunction in metabolic disorders including obesity and type 2 diabetes which are the major health concern in Qatar.
Previously, Dr. Madani worked as a visiting researcher and research specialist in microbiology and immunology at WCM-Q. She received her PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Hamad bin Khalifa University and received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in biomedical sciences from Qatar University.
