U.S. 70th Secretary of State

Michael R. Pompeo served as the 70th United States Secretary of State from April 2018 to January 2021, and previously served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

As the US’ most senior diplomat, Mr. Pompeo was pivotal in crafting the nation’s foreign policy, and his political career has seen him serve four terms as a congressman, and on numerous committees. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he now serves as a distinguished fellow at the Hudson Institute.
