Ghida Fakhry is a broadcast journalist with 25 years of experience in international news. She is the host/managing editor of TRT World’s flagship weekly political program from Washington DC, ‘Inside America with Ghida Fakhry’, and the monthly global affairs program ‘Bigger than Five.’ She is also the moderator of Doha Debates, where she focuses on facilitating conversations on some of the world’s most pressing issues.
Previously, Ghida was a lead anchor for Al Jazeera English in Washington DC. She presented the network’s ‘Newshour’ and the award-winning program ‘Witness.’ She has reported extensively from the United Nations and on-location, conducting in-depth interviews with Heads of State/Government and senior US and international officials. As Contributor to the Huffington Post, she has written about US foreign policy, the United Nations, and international affairs.
