Dr. Janice L. Cooper is the project lead for The Carter Center’s mental health initiative in Liberia. She has extensive experience of working with healthcare professionals suffering from PTSD after Liberia’s 2014-15 Ebola outbreak. Specializing in children's mental health, Cooper holds a doctorate in health policy from Harvard University. Prior to joining The Carter Center, she was director of child health and mental health at the United States’ National Center for Children in Poverty.
