Dr. Hasan Ali Al-Nimah

Writer and poet

Dr. Hasan Ali Al-Nimah is Cultural Advisor to His Highness the Amir of Qatar. He holds a PhD in Oriental Studies from the University of Cambridge, which he received in 1974. He is a former member of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Heritage.

He has served as Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations since 1989 and represented the country in numerous international and regional conferences and meetings. Additionally, he was Qatar's ambassador to several nations, including India, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, and Cuba, among others.

Beyond his career as a diplomat, Dr. Al-Nimah is also a poet and researcher in the humanities and comparative literary criticism, with works published in several local newspapers and magazines. His poetry reflects a deep concern for the broader Arab world and addresses issues related to his homeland, Qatar.
