Tell us how you have been a Student of Change and be in the game to become a flag bearer at the FIFA Arab Cup™ 2021.
In collaboration with Wanda, the Chinese conglomerate and FIFA Partner, we are excited to share this exciting opportunity for young people making an impact in their communities to become flag bearers for the FIFA Arab Cup 2021™.
FIFA flag bearers will participate in the pre-match ceremonies ahead of each of the matches during the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™. Prior to players taking the field, the flag bearers will set the scene by carrying and holding the FIFA flags on to the pitch.
For teenagers who love football, this is a one of kind opportunity to personally experience the behind-the-scenes of a leading international event and it is also a national opportunity to showcase the talent and spirit of Qatari youth.
To become a FIFA flag bearer, you would need to fill out an application and submit a statement of change. The Statement of Change reflects something the applicant/nominee has done that makes them stand out, specifically by taking action on change they want to see in the world. This can mean overcoming a challenge, giving back to the community, or even advocating for an important issue. Examples could include starting your own campaign about climate change; volunteering at a local charity; or overcoming a personal challenge to succeed and then becoming a role model for others.
For your Statement of Change, you could select one of five themes that best align with the cause(s) that you are passionate about: education, community, sustainability, technology, or health and wellbeing.
We’re specifically looking for young people between the ages of 12 and 17 that have made a difference in their communities and inspired others with their actions.
