On March 20, 2015 the next generation of doctors learned where they will spend the next chapter of their lives following ‘Match Day’ at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q).
During the annual Match Day, 40,000 graduating medical students globally find out if they have been accepted to one of the approximately 25,000 residency positions in the USA On March 20, 2015 At WCMC-Q, 39 future medics announced where they would be heading for their residency programs, specializing in their chosen field.
32 of 33 of the students who entered the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) will travel to the U.S. developing their careers at internationally renowned institutions, such as Cleveland Clinic Foundation, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and University Hospitals Case Medical Center to mention but a few. Seven students have chosen to continue their training at Qatar at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
Match Day marks the culmination of four years of medical training for WCMC-Q’s students, who will graduate in May.
