Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) will launch a new season of its premier Sustainability Education and Professional Development Programme in March this year.

Aimed at creating technical awareness and knowledge of green building and sustainability in Qatar, the new season of the program will feature an array of standardized courses and workshops. These courses will highlight a multitude of related topics, including sustainability in the built environment, rating systems, essentials of green building, and green buildings’ certification process.
Since its launch in November 2014, over 1,100 trainees have attended numerous courses encompassing 16 different topics related to green buildings and sustainability.
In addition, QGBC has launched a survey titled ‘What will you learn this year, 2016?’ The survey seeks to understand and identify gaps in Qatar’s green building and sustainability education sector. It is intended to help QGBC expand its current portfolio of professional development training courses to respond to the ever increasing demand in the country. The survey can be accessed through QGBC’s website: http://www.qatargbc.org/courses
The survey’s outcome will be shared with the wider community to provide a thorough insight into sustainability training in Qatar and to enhance knowledge of sustainability.
