Qatar Career Fair (QCF) concluded its second Summer Career Camp with outstanding success at the QF Recreation Center at Qatar Foundation’s campus recently.
Over the course of a fortnight, dozens of high school students visited QCF’s Summer Career Camp to learn a variety of invaluable skills, which will allow them to make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
At the closing ceremony participating students were awarded certificates, and congratulated by guest of honor Engineer Jassim Telefat, Group Executive Director of Qatar Foundation Capital Projects and Facilities Management.
In addition to career-orientation workshops, held onsite at the Qatar Foundation Recreation Center, the camp also included field trips to leading organizations across Qatar, including Al Jazeera
, Qatar Petrochemical Company, Sidra Medical and Research Center, Qatar Gas, Weill Cornell Medical College and Qatar National Bank. Through these visits, the students were given the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the world of work.
During the two-week program, students were also given the opportunity to take the ‘Tamheed’ psychometric test, provided by the Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development. The assessment evaluated each individual’s abilities, personality traits and interests, and upon receiving their results, students were given the opportunity to meet with academic and career advisers from the Bedaya Centre.
