After viewing the presentation, His Excellency Dr Al-Kuwari said, “Qatar Music Academy has achieved a great deal since its establishment just two years ago. It has really inspired me to see its young students being transformed into the next generation of musicians, and I am honoured and proud to have this institution delivering its programmes in Qatar.”
Dr Al-Kuwari agreed to a number of proposed future joint initiatives, including closer collaboration on music research and the promotion of musical awareness and appreciation in the community.
Dr Abdul Ghafour Al Heeti, Principal of Qatar Music Academy, said “We are delighted to have hosted the Minister and look forward to a close and fruitful future relationship. By combining forces with Qatar Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, we can together boost our already impressive levels of success and ensure that music plays a central role in transforming Qatar from a carbon-based to a knowledge-based economy.”
