Dr. Ahmed Abdelali is a Senior Software Engineer at the Arabic Language Technologies Department at Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). His research focuses on natural language processing namely, areas of machine translation, information retrieval and extraction, with an emphasis on applications related to Arabic language and its dialects.
Before joining Qatar Foundation, Dr. Abdelali worked as a researcher for New Mexico State University’s Computing Research Laboratory and Physical Science Laboratory.
Dr. Abdelali received his Master of Science and Ph.D. in computer science from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, US.
