The Qur’anic Botanic Garden (QBG) and the Education City Mosque is organizing the third edition of Al Utrujah Holy Qur’an Competition to encourage students and community members to memorize the Holy Qur’an, and learn more about the Qur’anic verses and stories that focus on botanical terms. The Competition, which features a series of different categories, is open to both male and female schoolchildren in Qatar.
All rounds of the Competition will be conducted at the Education City Mosque; the first round of the Competition runs from April 28 until May 5, 2019 after Asr prayer while the eligible competitors will move on to the final rounds that will take place in Ramadan, 1440 H.
A number of associated activities will be organized during the Competition, including community lectures and the daily quiz on plants mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in order to enrich the general information of the public based on plants and cultural traditions. People can participate in the daily quiz by following the social media channels of EC Mosque and Qur’anic Botanic Garden (QBG) during the holy month of Ramadan.
