PV cleaning robots are becoming widely used in desert environments. This scientific and technical workshop explores industry adoption, technology trends, impacts on modules, testing standards, and future research needs. It is a continuation to the successful inaugural PV Robot Cleaning Workshop held in 2022.

As the use of cleaning robots is growing rapidly, it raises new technical and economic questions. How much abrasion occurs to anti-reflective coatings? Which testing standards and test-modes are most applicable? What is the optimum cleaning frequency and at what time of the day? What are the advantages and disadvantages of different robot designs? The PV Cleaning Robot Workshop will address these and other issues in the development, selection, and use of cleaning robots.
