In an era of extreme globalization, movement, and technology, what is the meaning of community, cultural diversity, and place? Can art help us make sense of a changing world and challenging times? As our cities and living places are constantly expanding and developing, we live, move, work, learn, and play in environments that are fast-paced, hyper-connected, and technologically driven.
Outside the Box - Public Art in Qatar invites participants to think about encounters with art beyond the institution. Through this two-day forum and participatory activities, we are exploring the meaning and role of art in non-art domains.
The first day (22 February) will be hosted by Qatar Museums at the National Museum of Qatar, and the second day (23 February) will be hosted by Qatar Foundation in Qatar National Library.Click here to register
