This webinar aims to create awareness and share information about the humanitarian crisis unfolding across Ethiopia, rising from acute food insecurity in the country.
The event will bring together renowned academics and policy experts to talk about food insecurity, the gendered aspects of food insecurity, and the contribution of productive safety net programs, such as the Rural Productive Safety Net Programme (RPSNP) and the Urban Productive Safety Net Programme (UPSNP).
The discussion will culminate in a talk by Dr. Logan Cochrane, an associate professor at the College of Public Policies, and author of the new book “Ethiopia and Food Security: What We Know, How We Know It, and Future Options”. Dr. Cochrane will highlight some of the options he proposes in his book about future directions for strengthening food security and the avenues for re-envisioning research methods.
The event will conclude with an interactive questions-and-answers session with the attendees.
