Education City Speaker Series: Race and Identity in the 21st Century

For this online edition of the Education City Speaker Series, we welcome Layla F. Saad, author of the New York Times best-selling book “Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor.” In her talk, she will reflect on her own experiences of racism and explain how we can all fulfill a social responsibility to identify and undo racism in our own communities, through our own actions.

This edition will take place on Wednesday, 15 July, with a 45-minute moderated discussion followed by a 45-minute Q&A session. It will be moderated by Dr. Amal Mohammed Al Malki, Founding Dean of Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
