VCUarts Qatar Community Education Community Learning: Spring 2023

Registration is now open for the Spring 2023 community learning program. The program is created for adults and children ages 13-18.

5 classes will be offered from January 31 – March 19 with prices ranging from 500-950 QAR.

1. Digital Illustrations - This course will teach how to create digital illustrations through adobe illustrator that can be used to decorate fabrics, more specifically scarves.
2. Introduction to Digital Art - This course is an introductory course that teaches the basics of using digital drawing tools. The outcome will be to produce three artworks using different tools and techniques.
3. Introduction to Embroidery - Participants will learn all the skills needed to create their first embroidery artwork as they become familiar with embroidery tools and materials.
4. Interior Design (Basics)- Participants will get an introduction to what interior design really is and explore the essential concepts and tools for implementing an exciting idea into a physical space.
5. Interior Design (Advanced) – This course is intended for participants who have already taken Interior Design (Basics) or have a general knowledge of Interior Design. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of how to create floor plans, fit-out and spatial design.
6. Abstract painting – this course offers a study in the form of abstract expressionism where participants will learn to connect with their inner creativity and being in the moment in order to create art that is a result of their feelings.
