Having graduated as a chemical engineer, AbdulRedha AbdulRahman began his career with Qatar Fertilizer Company, a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum, in the 1970s. During his time with the company, he occupied numerous roles, ultimately being appointed Deputy Managing Director.
Mr. AbdulRahman subsequently became Deputy Managing Director at Qatar Petrochemical Company, where he was also a member of the Board of Directors, before moving to Qatar Petroleum. There, he held the positions of Investment and Manufacturing Department Manager, and Technical Director, as well as being Project Director for Ras Laffan Port.
He also assumed the role of Managing Director of Qatar Gas, where he was a member of its Board of Directors and its Deputy Chairman; and served as Senior Technical Advisor to His Excellency the Minister of Energy and Industry. In addition, he served as chairman, vice-chairman, and board member of several Qatar Petroleum subsidiaries, which saw him represent the company on many governmental committees.
Mr. Abdulrahman was subsequently appointed Managing Director of Qatar Foundation.
