Ideas worth spreading—now in Arabic. We’re partnering with TED to launch its first large-scale project to promote new speakers in Arabic and share their ideas around the world.
We’ve been focusing on unlocking human potential for over two decades now and TED has been finding ideas worth spreading for even longer. In 2020, we’ve finally joined forces to open up the TED experience for Arabic speakers and share our region’s big ideas with the rest of the world.
The main legacy and output of our two-year partnership with TED will revolve around three key pillars that will help create a new culture of idea-generation that stretches across the Arab region and beyond.
Our dedicated website for TEDinArabic is a vault of TED content in Arabic that is designed to provoke thought and curiosity, reinforce the role of the Arabic language as a language of knowledge, and inspire ideas.
We will be hosting regional TED events as part of our search for big ideas from around the Arab world.
The main event at the heart of our partnership will be a flagship TED event in Qatar showcasing the boldest and most-inspiring ideas from around the Arabic-speaking world.
We take our responsibility as custodians of the Arabic language very seriously. With TED, we found a fantastic partner to help us continue to build on the Arab world’s proud tradition of innovation and thinking of ideas that are challenging, daring, and ready to shape the world to come.
TEDinArabic is a platform designed to ignite in today’s Arabs the same fire that burned in their ancestors, providing them with an easily-accessible opportunity for them to project their ideas to a global audience.
We at TED have always valued the power of delivering talks in one’s native language, and the nuance and richness that comes with doing so – the TEDinArabic program is an important step in that journey. As we bring this program to life, together with Qatar Foundation, we are grateful for the support of an organization that shares our passion and dedication to education and ideas.
TEDinArabic is just one of our many initiatives and outreach programs through which we aim to safeguard and celebrate our culture and heritage.Learn more
