Research is an essential component of Qatar Foundation's strategy to make Education City a world-class center for innovative education.
Qatar Foundation's Research Division oversees the pursuit of cutting-edge research and development, and implements research programs that will help build the country's innovation and technology capacity, and support the growth of Qatari society.
The Foundation's academic research efforts will be distributed among the universities of Education City and its SIDRA Medical and Research Center. At the Qatar Science and Technology Park private companies will conduct their own commercially-oriented research and development, while the Qatar National Research Fund plays a vital role in providing financial support to researchers at all levels.
The Research Division represents Qatar Foundation in research activities to external groups, and identifies and coordinates research opportunities at the national, regional and international levels. It monitors and assesses the progress of research programs that are being funded by Qatar Foundation in order to ensure the highest research quality.
