If you are a staff member, contact your Center/Branch Campus. You are required to fax a copy of your new passport. A request form will be completed and submitted to QF Immigration to obtain permission for you to re-enter Qatar on new passport. Time required to obtain the above permission is 5 working days. It is important to have a photocopy of each of our documents for backup use.

A permanent visa is required for people who are coming to work, to study or for those coming to live as dependents of an employee.
Every employee or International student under QF sponsorship wants to travel outside the Country requires an Exit Permit. This is a state document signed by your sponsor stating that they have no objection to your leaving the country.

As per Qatar Traffic Policy, some nationalities can exchange their driving license provided that they get a valid driving license from their home country. You will need a sponsor's covering letter (in Arabic) from Qatar Foundation, your home country driver's license plus four photographs. If you wear corrective lenses, you need to have your picture taken with these glasses on.
The Traffic Department will require you to take an eye examination. As a part of obtaining your residence permit in Qatar, a temporary driving license is issued and same can be converted to a full/Permanent license once your residence permit formalities have been completed. QF - Immigration requires No objection letter from your campus to issue the sponsor's covering letter in Arabic and in the case of a student, QF - Immigration requires a No objection letter from the student's parents and the campus to issue the sponsor's covering letter in Arabic.
QF - Immigration will only sponsor parents who are accompanying their students during their initial move to Doha in August. Parents who have a passport that will allow them to get a visa at the airport should get theirs upon arrival.
All other parents should contact the branch campus and submit all the necessary paperwork for a visa application along with a hotel reservation (this is to ensure that parents are NOT staying in the residence halls) This should be done at least two weeks prior to arrival.

It is allowed for an international student to maintain residence permit (RP) of two GCC countries on the same passport.
