About the Test

The IBT TOEFL ®, internet-based test, determines a student's ability by testing all four language skills and consequently their ability to function in an English-speaking classroom environment. Used worldwide by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), for undergraduate and graduate admissions to university, it measures the ability of non-native English speakers to use and understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in both college and university settings.

How to Apply

Log on to the TOEFL website and create a profile account; if you wish to take the test at Qatar Foundation then please choose "Education City" as your test center choice.

What to Bring on Test Day

  • You must bring valid identification and your registration number. You cannot take the test without them.
  • Citizens of Qatar should bring their passport, ID, or driving license.
  • Non-Qatari citizens should bring their passport only. No other form of identification is accepted.
