Administration facilitates the management and performance of people, process, products and policies to meet the operational needs of Qatar Foundation, now and for the future.

Capital Projects oversees the planning and construction of the physical plant for Education City -- a 2,500-acre campus with a number of massive building projects currently underway and more on the horizon. Like the rest of Qatar, Education City is growing fast.

Facilities handles everything from security and maintenance to power supply and conference room bookings. Qatar Foundation's Facilities Management team uses the most current techniques and technology to optimize the use of the physical plant.

Finance works closely with the management of Qatar Foundation, its partners and its centers to provide a full range of financial services, from payroll and budgeting to long-term planning.

Human Resources handles staffing for Qatar Foundation and it centers, helping QF to attract the highly qualified staff its mission requires. HR also assists QF's partners with personnel matters.

Information Technology delivers support services to all of Qatar Foundation's centers and partners. IT also manages the related web sites and networks that keep QF and Education City connected to each other and to the world.

Material and Contracts supplies all of Qatar Foundation's partners projects with their essential needs, from office furniture to automobiles.

Public Relations and Marketing is charged with communicating Qatar Foundation's mission and generating awareness of QF's many projects and activities.

ROTA to dedicate 17 new schools in Pakistan

Qatar-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Reach Out To Asia today announced plans to dedicate 17 new schools in northern Pakistan, which were completely devastated by a Kashmir earthquake in October 2005.

Qatar Symphony received a standing ovation at its world premiere in Doha. The original orchestral work commissioned by the Qatar Foundation to celebrate the history, development and future of Qatar as a nation was composed by Oud virtuoso and composer Dr. Salem Abdul-Karem, one of the Arab world's greatest living musicians.


Qatar Foundation and Royal Society of London find mutual benefit in pursuing scientific excellence

Recognizing the importance of science for the prosperity of their societies, Qatar Foundation and the Royal Society of London, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to join efforts in promoting a better understanding of scientific research and activities in both countries and on an international level.
