What fields of research is Qatar Foundation involved in?
Research is an essential component in Qatar Foundation's strategy to make Education City a world-class center for innovative education. By offering state-of-the-art facilities and a unique collaborative environment, the Foundation hopes to attract some of the world's best minds and offer them opportunities to tackle challenging, real-world problems.
Currently major research programs are underway in the area of diabetes and biological studies through the Foundation’s medical research arm, the National Research Fund. Why is Qatar Foundation investing such a lot of money in large buildings if the number of students is so small?
Education City is being built as the future for education in Qatar. The State of Qatar is committed to providing its citizens and the citizens of the region with world-class university facilities now and for the future. Since the first class was admitted ten years ago Education City has grown year on year. Substantial growth of the region is expected to drive more and more students to Education City.
