Through the skill of debate, individuals nurture their critical thinking skills, learn to communicate effectively, and begin to unlock leadership qualities that may have previously laid dormant.
There will be 67 teams representing 33 Arab and non-Arab countries including teams from non-Arab speaking universities from Australia, India, Pakistan, Brunei, Malaysia, France, the United States, Poland, China, Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, and Germany.
Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar wins debating competition. Weill Cornell Medical College students were the runners-up. This year’s competition had 24 teams participating from nine universities.
